Hazel’s Snickerdoodles
The classic snickerdoodle, rolled in cinnamon & sugar, with that special kick that only Cream of Tartar can bring.
Ingredients
Cookies
- 1 cup Soft Lard
- 1½ cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 2¾ cup Flour
- 2 tsp Cream of Tartar Cannot be substituted
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- ½ tsp Salt
Cinnamon Sugar Mixture
- 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar Note: tablespoon
- 2 tsp Cinnamon Note: teaspoon
Instructions
- Cream lard, sugar, and eggs
- Mix in dry ingredients.
- Chill dough for 1 hour.
- Make cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Roll into 1" balls, then roll in balls in cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Bake at 400° for 8-12 minutes until golden brown.
