Start and be done with your gravy in 5 minutes and enjoy NO complaints. This is a perfect gravy for almost any situation – including Christopher’s favorite poutine.
Ingredients
- 2 cup Broth/Stock Your choice – chicken, beef, turkey, or vegetable. We use chicken.
- 2-4 Bouillon Cubes Your choice – chicken or beef. We use chicken. Use more for a stronger flavor.
- 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- ¼ cup Flour
Seasonings To Taste
- Rosemary
- Onion Powder
- Salt
- Pepper
- Sage
- Garlic Powder
- Thyme
Instructions
- Add the bouillon cubes to the broth/stock and heat.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and half of the seasonings and cook for 1 minute, creating a roux.
- Slowly whisk in the broth to the roux, then heat to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring often, until gravy has thickened to liking.
- Add remaining seasonings to taste, whisking in. Serve immediately.
